Day 7 - Delft to Hoak of Holland

Last day and we were keen to get to the ferry. We cycled out of Delft on meandering cycle paths through parks and along canals. The Tour de France started that day in Holland in Utrecht so we passed groups of serious cyclists heading to watch the start of the Tour.

A few miles of cycling and we were at the Hoak of Holland and the end of our bike journey this year.

If anyone of us learned anything from this trip, we hope it was Brian E. - when your bike stops Brian it is very useful to put one foot on the floor to avoid the inevitable consequences :)

Another pic of Hunny Bunny from the balcony.
The room had a lovely view and obviously I spent a lot of time on the balcony.
A lot of the streets in towns in Holland were paved with brick.
Here is an unusual tiled brick which says (I think) "Earth, mi garde, terra."
Our lovely Hotel Leeuwenbrug, as we get ready to leave.

Below is a short video of us cycling by a canal. It shows just how wonderful and peaceful so much of the cycling has been in Holland.

Yet another for Brian.
For Joe :)
The Tour de France 2015 started in Holland and below is a video of some locals who crossed our path heading off for the Tour. The next video is us crossing the same bridge. There's a bit of a difference in style :)

First view of the Hoak of Holland and our last views of Holland.
On our bikes and waiting by the ferry plank as we arrive home in the UK.
Finally getting off the bikes!

Goodbyes!
